On 30th October, the Oxford Poetry Library are proud to welcome the Griot’s Well poets who are coming to share their work with the Oxford community. They will be helping deliver a day of free activities which we hope will inspire your creative practice, including a workshop on collage and poetry (check out the other event in this collection!)

From 6pm to 8pm, there will be a showcase of the work of these exciting artists who have been selected for the Writerz & Scribez “Griot’s Well” one year development program for Black and ethnically diverse writers over the age of 25.

The artists performing include:

• Becky Balfourth

• JC Niala

• Gayathiri Kamalakanthan

• Courtney Conrad

• Rhoda Adum Boateng

• Elhum Shakerifar

• Lola Oh

• Elontra Hall

We also hope to showcase the creations from the people who attend the afternoon workshop which will be led by Gayathiri on how to use collage for poetic inspiration.

This event is free and open to anyone but please let us know that you’re coming by booking a ticket HERE.

The Oxford Poetry Library is an accessible space but please do contact us in advance if you have any access needs, or have any other questions on oxfordpoetrylibrary@gmail.com.
