We are a voluntary organization and depend on good-hearted, literature-loving volunteers to help us make things happen. Want to be a librarian for a day? Or run a craft session with little ones? Connect with elderly people in a reading session? Or discover ways of using poetry to interact more with nature and your local environment? Get involved with some of our amazing, creative events and readings?

We are always volunteer-recruiting! There are lots of opportunities available for people of all interests, ages, and abilities. You can find out more about our volunteer roles here.

As well as being the life-blood of our organization, volunteering can help you learn new skills, meet new people, and engage with your community. All you need is enthusiasm – poetry-expertise is definitely not a criteria (although it doesn’t hurt!), and we aim to include people of all physical and social abilities. There’s always something to be done, and we’re hungry for your ideas and energy!

Want to meet like-minded people and help a local, grassroots, not-for profit project? Or just fancy hanging out with a bikeful of books? Join our volunteer mailing list here to stay up to date with all our upcoming opportunities. You can also get in touch by filling in the contact form below. Let us know which, if any, of the volunteer roles appeal to you, and we’ll be delighted to discuss further.
