Purpose
To help at our occasional events, readings, and performances
Activities
- Assisting with setting up the space, putting chairs out, and decorating the space as necessary
- Taking names and selling tickets on the door, greeting and welcoming attendees
- Working behind the merch stand to sell merchandise, or behind the bar serving refreshments as appropriate
- Providing attendees with assistance, if required, during activities
- Helping to clear the space away, tidy and rearrange the space if necessary after the event
Skills and abilities needed
- to have a friendly and welcoming manner
- to enjoy helping others
- to be able to work in a team with other volunteers
Timings and Locations
Various locations and timings depending on our calendar of events, although most events happen on weekend evenings.
