Sat 16th and Sun 17th November 2024

We are proud to announce the inaugural Oxford Di-Verse Poetry Festival, championing diverse voices from across the city and country. We’re putting on two days of cross-cultural celebration and artistic creativity, to promote equality, diversity, inclusion and greater unity.

This grassroots, cooperative festival is organized by Oxford Poetry Library, Butcher’s Dog Poetry Magazine, Reconnecting Rainbows Press, St. Columba’s United Reformed Church, and Exeter College.

Festival Mission:

Oxford Di-Verse Poetry Festival is dedicated to exploring intersectionality, solidarity, cooperation, and organization among marginalized and oppressed groups through the medium of poetry and spoken word.

The festival emerged from the collective grief of Oxford University transgender students and allies at the 2023 Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil.

This inaugural festival aims to celebrate and platform the diverse voices of minority, marginalized, and silenced communities.

Join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of voices that make up our diverse community.
