Topos: A film screening and poetry reading

Join us on 12 September at 7.30pm at The Community Works for a screening of Topos, a film screening and poetry reading presented by Oxford Poetry Library and Issabella Orlando.
A meditation on place, ancestry, memory, and landscape, this special evening features a screening of Topos, an award-winning poetic documentary by filmmaker and poet Issabella Orlando. For full information about Issabella and her work, click here.
Following the screening, Issabella will share a selection of her poetry — including pieces developed during her time with Oxford Poetry Library — which lives in the world of Topos. Performances will follow by special guest poets Andy Melhuish, Daniel Revach, Maya Little, Zoe Brown, Rency Raquid, and Adam Shaw who all explore connections to land, ancestry, memory and identity through their respective practices.
Tickets are £5 each (£2 concessions) and booking in advance is recommended here. The building is accessible, but if you have any specific access needs, please drop us an email at oxfordpoetrylibrary@gmail.com beforehand.
