EVENT POSTPONED We the Wild Ones: A seasonal creative afternoon for families

Please note that this event will now be postponed to a later date! Apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment.
Join us for a seasonal creative afternoon with children’s author, illustrator and performer Ed Boxall!
Once a quarter, Ed Boxall will be coming to The Community Works for an afternoon of creativity perfect for children aged 5-12.
April 13th will be our SPRING session, so come along from 2pm to 3.30pm to put a creative spring in your step.
Ed will begin with an interactive performance of his poems, songs and stories in celebration of Spring.
It will then be your turn to get creative as you create your own mythical, magical springtime creature with words and art. Ed will guide everyone gently, step by step through the process of writing and illustrating using techniques he’s used many times in schools.
It’s all about fun and creative play and mixing art and words in your own way.
Ed will be bringing an exciting selection of the materials he uses in his own mixed media illustrations for you to use including printing, stamping, collage, painting and drawing.
We will be taking our creativity out into the wild, discovering new worlds of words and planets of picture-making…
Tickets are £5 per child, and £2 per adult and booking is essential.
The Oxford Poetry Library is an accessible space but please do contact us in advance if you have specific requirements. You can email us about this or with any questions about the workshop at oxfordpoetrylibary@gmail.com
