SUMMARY:LIT Reading Group- July in Person
DESCRIPTION:Got started with poetry but not sure where to go next?  Need some support and feedback for a specific piece of writing that is bugging you right now? We meet in person and online. \nFor more information about us\, you can read our statement of aims and values on our group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/223789834941256 or email francesca_moll@hotmail.co.uk to request to join our WhatsApp group. \nThis is the event for our July in person session. SUMMARY:The Poetry Door: "Disability Justice & Signed/Deaf Poetry"
DESCRIPTION:In these workshops\, we will consider how poetry can be a tool for self-expression and social justice\, for empathy\, and empowerment. \nEveryone has something valuable to express and poetry can help us process our own experiences and learn about the experiences of others. Through readings\, interactive exercises\, group writing games\, and generative prompts\, we will explore the power and joy of writing together. We’ll be working in a variety of forms\, inspired by a diverse set of voices and themes. Looking forward to collaborating with you all and seeing your beautiful words! \n  \nThese sessions will be led by Serena Alagappan. Serena is a writer and researcher interested in the impact of creative writing on society. She has studied at Princeton and Oxford Universities and published her work in literary journals across the US and UK. \n  \nThis workshop is for anyone aged 13+. No experience with poetry is required\, and all materials will be provided. Let us know you’re coming by booking a ticket HERE. \n  \nThe Oxford Poetry Library is an accessible space but please contact us in advance if you have any access needs so we can accommodate those for you. You can email us on oxfordpoetrylibrary@gmail.com or use the contact form below. \n\n← Back Thank you for your response. ✨\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nName(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nEmail(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nWebsite\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nMessage\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n \n \n Submit \n \n \n \nΔ
